Why Everyone Should Have an Estate Plan

Having a Estate Plan is super important, I get it, it's easy to plan for the things we enjoy and that make us happy like vacations and getting together with family and friends. No one wants to think about let alone plan for the things that are inevitable but not fun like planning for death or disability. But these things don't go away and rarely happen at convenient times or on our schedule. Do you have a will? A durable power of attorney? A health care proxy? If so, no reason to read on. If not, why not? Failure to create an estate plan risks causing discord in your family for generations to come. The following are four often stated reasons for not having an estate plan:
